New music day!

This all stemmed from the Twilight soundtrack and my slight obsession with the song "Flightless Bird, American Mouth" but holy hell... this ONE MAN band is blowing my mind. (P-nut approved!) His voice is so beautiful and haunting... it's overwhelming. I just downloaded a few of his albums and am really loving it. I got (so far) "Our Endless Numbered Days" and "The Creek Drank the Cradle" and am listening over and over! I also DL'd the Garden State soundtrack for this gem :)



I never liked the movie but the soundtrack is great. Yes, I am a little late! Shins, Frou Frou...loveit! Speaking of soundtracks, here is the clip from Twilight that caught my eye (ear) from the start! Who knew? I am now obsessed with the entire series... I am on the final book, Breaking Dawn, currently listening to the book in my car (I am on cd 7 of 16!) something about the eternal, passionate love between Bella and Edward makes my heart beat a little faster. Maybe it's because my man is so far away from me and I need the extra romance in my life! :)




I also recently downloaded the new Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Silversun Pickups albums. Any other suggestions? They are greatly appreciated :)

proud to be...

I've never been super patriotic or anything. In fact, my aunt is a marine and she always pushed my dad to have us come up and visit her for the marine balls every year. My sister and I were never interested. I just never wanted that lifestyle of falling for someone, getting married young then having kids and having them be gone for months and years at a time. Not for me, no thanks!


So, tell me why, now, I am totally in love with my man... who is a crazy navy boy! dammit! But you know what? I am damn proud :)



I still kind of find all those graphics cheesy but hey, maybe they are growing on me. It's hard not to appreciate. Eric is disciplined. He is very smart. He is determined. He believes in service. He has really big dreams. He set his mind to this and he's not just doing it halfway. He volunteers, he's learning every day. He shares his dreams with me and more and more, including me in those plans for the future. It's really sexy... it's really inspiring. I do feel pride, extreme pride, every day. And it makes that time that is quickly approaching almost bearable. Because I know it will make him even more amazing and it'll also make me, and us, stronger for going through it all together.

I am so excited for the new album! Look at how great my boys look :)

I can't wait to see my 50th show in a month!!! yes, FIVE-ZERO!! in-freaking-sane. I love this band. I am so very excited for some spring shows and summer tour. April is going to be rough but I am going to stay positive and May is going to be amazing and June will be even better. Here's to looking forward to the good times!

I didn't really include any band pictures because it's about more than the band... it's my family. I have met the best people and had the most amazing times of my life. My best friends are 311 fans, my boyfriend is a fellow fanatic, I have traveled and will continue to travel all over this freakin' country to see them over 50 times! It's ridiculous but it makes me happy. It keeps me positive and has changed my life, for the best. :)

• Mario Lopez, sipping on margaritas over dinner with Joe Francis and a group of women at L.A.'s Velvet Margarita. The guys ate enchiladas and "looked like they were having a blast," a restaurant patron tells us.


I was one of the women, haha! We went to eat at Velvet Margarita after the America's Best Dance Crew finale. Kourtney Kardashian was also eating with us. Hilarious!
