Scar Tissue

Over my crazy vacation I had a book that I could not put down...

I was never a big Red Hot Chili Peppers fan but this book is AMAZING! Especially since I am such a crazy little music fan... it's insane to read all about Anthony's life. He is so open, honest and candid about the life he's lived and the crazy things he's done. It's a really great read.

I highly recommend it :)

Whirlwind summer trip

In the last two crazy weeks I did a lot of traveling. A LOT.


It started July 31st with Rich, Sophia + I flying from LAX to......

Salt Lake City, UT to.....
Atlanta, GA to our destination of.....

CHICAGO :) for 5 fabulous nights (Lollapalooza and sightseeing)

from there I (alone) flew to....
Washington, DC where I saw a show then took a train to.....
Newport News, VA for the night then hopped up to....
Norfolk, VA for another show then back to....
Newport News to crash before flying out of....
Richmond, VA where my flight was oversold so I headed to...

NEW YORK CITY! for the night :)

then I flew via...
Cincinnati, OH and made an emergency stop in...
Albuquerque, NM before returning home to...

LOS ANGELES on (August 11) Monday night.


Crazy, amazing times. I probably took every form of public transit available. I have to give props to Chicago, I think I'm in love...

Earthquake!

Right before noon today I had just gotten out of the shower and was sitting on my bed (in a towel of course) and I felt the room shake a little and then a lot.

Turns out it was a 5.6 earthquake centered in Chino Hills. Just over the weekend we'd been in Ontario visiting with Wes. Poor guy got his world rocked in his office. I wasn't too shaken up (ha ha!) by the whole experience but it was a first for many. Abra was a little nervous and people kept calling the house. But everything is cool, no damages or injuries.

I love LA, earthquakes and all.
I'd rather have a quake than a tornado any day!

Summer travels

I am very excited.

I feel like I've been waiting forever and it's finally here! Thursday night Rich and I are jumping on a redeye and heading to Chicago for Lollapalooza. I cannot wait!! I have first of all never been to Chi-city and am excited for everything... the food, the sounds, the smells, the sights... I've heard so many great things about the city. Can't wait to report back! :)

My kid is cute

LA is so random.

Last night I was at The Grove with my work family and kids. As Dash and I were waiting in the valet area for the rest of the crew and the car, Sharon Stone got out of one of the cars that pulled up. Dash was hanging from the barrier and I was calling his name.

Well, Sharon took one look at him, walked right over and knelt down. It was really cute. She said to him, "Are you not listening to your mommy?" and he smiled shyly at her.


Hilarious, but very cute. Abra was really excited about the exchange. Only in LA!
