Juno

So I used to hate Jen Garner, don't know why, but she was an actress that always rubbed me the wrong way. Until Juno. I totally, completely fell for her in that film. (It could also be "13 going on 30" haha I don't know!)



She is gorgeous, vulnerable and yet completely maternal... it's adorable. I just watched it again last night and could not help bawling my eyes out. I love Juno. Ellen Page is also amazing. Just wanted to put that out there this morning. :)

Lucky

I'm a lucky girl. Right now, it's almost bittersweet to say that as I'm sitting in this huge nice hotel room by myself (in Texas) watching the same inauguration coverage for about the 10th time today... I should have been at home watching it with my boyfriend, who came LA to visit me instead of being in DC for the madness.

Yet, here I am in Texas! It's really good though. We flew in yesterday and fly home tomorrow, so it was nice and quick but a really great experience. There was a lot of bonding time with my bosses and growth within the company. I'm really glad I came. Sorta. ;)


But I am lucky. Let me count my blessings.

I'm ecstatic to be living in this country right now, alive while this history is happening.
I love my best friend.
I love him even more for being totally supportive of me. :)

2009 !

this new years i did something crazy. i skipped out on seeing my all-time favorite band... (or partying it up in hollywood...) i flew east to spend my holidaze with some of my favorite people in the world. and i had the best nye evar. i spent a week and a half in bliss with my best friend who is now my boyfriend :) the last two days have been full of lots of tears but i am so happy, i know that everything will be ok. he makes me so happy that there is no one else i'd rather be with. even if it means waiting. he's so worth it :)

what can I say? I'm a slacker!

...but no, I haven't really been slacking :(

I've been a busy bee... and I've been on the computer with things to blog about but I just really lack concentration. Anyway, my birthday was not awesome. I lost my phone (aka missed all my birthday calls and texts... very disappointing!) and realized a lot of things... I'm happy to say that I have made some changes. Small steps, but I am proud of myself. I did have a nice lunch with my family and I got a great gift from a really great friend...

I've been working hard... I really love my job. It's a great place to be. I have a lot of positive, gorgeous, fun and young people around me... it's great. But it's not a piece of cake, I am working hard! And it's a little frustrating at times... but it's really refreshing to me how simple and natural design feels, at least the production side. It is something that the designer has commented on as well. It's great.

I produced my first Neiman Marcus ad, worked a crazy stressful day getting everything all together and perfect... aaaand the next day, they decided they weren't going to go with it. But that's the way it goes in the industry, I can't take it personal. So, someday it'll be my work in the ad, I just have to be patient!
